“Humans in the loop, not humans out of the loop.”

On a personal note, the last couple of years have had me rethinking my own career the way I imagine a lot of Canadians have, watching US tariffs squeeze an economy I've built my whole working life inside of, and realising the old playbook doesn't quite apply anymore.
Building my own way through it
That's part of why I ended up building my own AI tools in the first place, not as a side project, but because I needed to move faster and more precisely in my own job search than doing it by hand allowed. That's where dAvId Career Manager came from.
What I didn't expect
Here's what I didn't expect: the more I built, the more convinced I became that AI's real value isn't replacing people, it's freeing them up. Every automation I've built well has had the same shape, take the redundant, menial part of a job off someone's plate, and let them spend that time on the part only a person can do. The people who used to do that redundant task didn't disappear, they moved on to better roles.
Humans in the loop, not humans out of the loop
I still believe full replacement of human judgment is a long way off, and I'd rather build for the world we're actually in than the one a demo promises.
That's the whole philosophy behind everything on this page.
If your team has a redundant task you'd rather hand off than have someone keep doing by hand, that's exactly the kind of problem I'd start with. You can find the details on the contact section of this site.
